Procedural & Clinical Operations RN – Outpatient Vascular Cath Lab (Part-Time)

Reports to: Office-Based Lab (OBL) Manager

Join the only Quad A-accredited (American Association for Accreditation of Ambulatory Surgery Facilities) outpatient vascular practice in the region.

360 Vascular Institute is an established, physician-owned vascular and interventional practice located in Dublin, Ohio. In just three years, we have grown into a destination practice serving patients from throughout Ohio, across the United States, and internationally. Our patients choose us because of our commitment to exceptional patient care, education, innovation, and clinical excellence—not simply because we're the closest.

As our practice continues to grow, we are seeking an experienced Procedural & Clinical Operations Registered Nurse to join our nationally accredited outpatient vascular cath lab.

This is not a typical outpatient nursing position.

We're looking for a nurse who is passionate about patient care, enjoys learning, thrives in a procedural environment, and takes ownership of the day-to-day clinical operations that keep a high-performing office-based vascular cath lab running safely, efficiently, and in continuous readiness for accreditation.

This position works closely with our Office-Based Lab (OBL) Manager and physician to deliver exceptional patient care while maintaining the high standards of quality, safety, and regulatory excellence that define our practice.

Schedule

  • Part-time (approximately 16–24 hours per week)
  • Tuesdays and Thursdays
  • Typical start time between 7:00–7:30 AM, depending on the procedural schedule
  • Opportunity for additional procedural days as the practice continues to grow
  • No nights
  • No holidays
  • No weekends
  • No hospital call

Responsibilities

Procedural Nursing

  • Prepare patients for minimally invasive vascular and interventional procedures.
  • Independently administer and monitor moderate (conscious) sedation.
  • Assist the physician during procedures using sterile technique.
  • Provide pre-, intra-, and post-procedure nursing care.
  • Recover patients and provide comprehensive discharge education.
  • Recognize changes in patient condition and respond appropriately using sound clinical judgment.

Clinical Operations

  • Prepare procedure rooms, equipment, medications, and supplies.
  • Ensure efficient room turnover and patient flow.
  • Maintain inventory and procedural readiness.
  • Work collaboratively with the physician and OBL Manager to optimize workflow and patient experience.
  • Cross-train and assist teammates as needed.
  • Anticipate needs rather than waiting to be asked.
  • Identify opportunities to improve workflow, efficiency, and patient experience.

Quality, Safety & Regulatory Excellence

As the only Quad A-accredited outpatient vascular practice in the region, we hold ourselves to exceptionally high standards. Every member of our clinical team plays an important role in maintaining our accreditation through meticulous documentation, regulatory readiness, quality assurance, and a culture of continuous improvement.

Responsibilities include:

  • Maintain complete, accurate, and audit-ready clinical documentation.
  • Take ownership of nursing documentation from start to finish, ensuring charts are complete before they are finalized.
  • Maintain narcotic accountability records and medication logs.
  • Complete assigned daily, weekly, and monthly quality and safety checks.
  • Participate in quality assurance and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Help maintain continuous readiness for Quad A accreditation and regulatory compliance.
  • Identify issues proactively and help develop solutions that strengthen the practice.

The Ideal Candidate

We're looking for someone who:

  • Has experience administering and monitoring moderate (conscious) sedation.
  • Is highly organized and exceptionally detail-oriented.
  • Understands that excellent clinical documentation is an essential part of excellent patient care.
  • Takes ownership of their work and follows through without constant oversight.
  • Thrives in a fast-paced procedural environment where priorities change throughout the day.
  • Is an excellent multitasker who can balance patient care, documentation, and operational responsibilities without sacrificing attention to detail.
  • Thinks critically, remains calm under pressure, and anticipates the next step rather than simply reacting.
  • Is dependable, proactive, and accountable.
  • Enjoys working in a small, collaborative practice where everyone contributes.
  • Is adaptable and willing to help wherever needed.
  • Loves to learn and is naturally curious.
  • Wants to understand not only how procedures are performed, but why they are performed.
  • Enjoys learning about vascular disease and minimally invasive therapies so they can better educate and care for patients.
  • Takes pride in helping patients feel comfortable, informed, and cared for throughout their experience.

Required Qualifications

  • Current Ohio Registered Nurse (RN) license.
  • Current BLS and ACLS certification.
  • Demonstrated experience administering and monitoring moderate (conscious) sedation is required.
  • Experience in Interventional Radiology, Cath Lab, Emergency Department, PACU, Ambulatory Surgery, or another procedural setting.
  • Excellent communication, assessment, and critical thinking skills.
  • Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience in an office-based lab (OBL), ambulatory surgery center (ASC), or outpatient procedural practice.
  • Prior experience with Quad A (American Association for Accreditation of Ambulatory Surgery Facilities), AAAHC, The Joint Commission, or other ambulatory accreditation standards is highly valued.
  • Experience participating in quality assurance, regulatory compliance, policy development, or continuous quality improvement initiatives.
  • Candidates who enjoy quality improvement, operational excellence, and helping maintain the highest standards of patient safety will thrive in this role.

Why Join 360 Vascular Institute?

  • Work directly with one physician and a highly collaborative clinical team.
  • Partner closely with an experienced Office-Based Lab Manager committed to quality and professional development.
  • Be part of the only Quad A-accredited outpatient vascular practice in the region.
  • Develop meaningful relationships with patients rather than feeling like one of many providers.
  • Continue learning in an environment that values education, curiosity, and professional growth.
  • Have the opportunity to contribute ideas and improve how we deliver care.
  • Competitive hourly compensation.
  • Predictable daytime schedule.
  • Opportunity for additional hours as the practice grows.
  • 401(k) with employer match (eligible per plan requirements).

Our Culture

We believe every member of our team should understand the purpose behind the care we provide—not simply perform tasks. We enjoy teaching, encourage curiosity, and believe that understanding the "why" behind each procedure leads to better patient care and a more fulfilling career.

We are intentionally a small, collaborative practice. Everyone contributes, everyone helps, and everyone is expected to take ownership of their responsibilities. We value people who communicate openly, embrace feedback, continuously improve, and take pride in doing things the right way—even when no one is watching.

If you're looking for a meaningful career where you'll continue to learn, make a genuine difference in patients' lives, and become part of a practice committed to excellence, we'd love to hear from you.
