We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Steel Construction Project Manager to join their team and oversee their high-impact projects.
The Steel Construction Project Manager will be responsible for the comprehensive management of steel construction projects. This includes overseeing project planning, execution, and closing, ensuring all project requirements and deadlines are met. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in steel construction, excellent project management skills, and the ability to lead teams effectively.
Qualified candidates must have:
Bachelor degree in Civil/Structural Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture
Project Management Experience in Steel Construction
Pay:$100,000-$150,000/yr
Key Responsibilities:
- Project Oversight: Manage and oversee all phases of assigned steel construction projects, ensuring compliance with contract requirements and adherence to project schedules.
- Plan Review: Review and interpret construction project plans, specifications, and shop drawings.
- Material Procurement: Issue Purchase Requests for raw materials necessary for fabrication.
- RFI and Change Orders: Process Requests for Information (RFI) and change orders promptly and accurately.
- Scheduling: Manage and schedule the processing of shop drawings, shop fabrication, and field installation.
- Client Coordination: Maintain open communication with clients and inspectors to ensure smooth project progression.
- Site Meetings: Attend and actively participate in construction site meetings.
- Cost Control: Implement cost control strategies to maximize project profitability.
- Team Training: Train and allocate different projects to Project Engineers.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of project management experience in the steel construction industry.
- Skills: Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and regulations. Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills. Proficiency in project management software and tools.
- Certifications: PMP certification is a plus.
