What are the responsibilities and job description for the Production Superintendent position at 360 Recruiter Accelerator?
We are seeking a Production Superintendent – Casting for an established aluminum manufacturer in Huntingdon, TN. This is a hands-on leadership opportunity for someone with experience in aluminum casting, metals, foundry, rolling, or another high-volume continuous manufacturing environment.
The Production Superintendent will lead supervisors and hourly production employees in a 24/7 operation while driving improvements in safety, quality, productivity, staffing, and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead daily casting operations and production teams
- Coach and develop supervisors and hourly employees
- Drive improvements in safety, quality, productivity, and cost
- Monitor KPIs including OEE, yield, throughput, scrap, and downtime
- Coordinate staffing, labor planning, scheduling, and production priorities
- Identify equipment and process issues affecting performance
- Lead Lean manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives
- Partner with maintenance, engineering, quality, and other departments
Qualifications:
- 5 years of manufacturing leadership experience
- Experience leading supervisors and hourly production teams
- Background in aluminum casting, metals, foundry, rolling, or similar heavy manufacturing
- Strong understanding of Lean manufacturing and continuous improvement
- Experience managing production KPIs, staffing, safety, and quality
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, 24/7 manufacturing environment
