General Manager

The General Manager directs all aspects of a multi-site highly engineered manufacturing operation, including operations, commercial alignment, systems improvement, talent assessment, and performance management. The role is accountable for driving sustainable business performance, strengthening operating discipline, and ensuring effective execution across a technically complex, highly regulated manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Own overall business performance, including growth, profitability, cash flow, delivery, quality, and customer satisfaction.
• Direct multi-site operations with emphasis on advanced precision manufacturing, process discipline, capacity planning, and execution consistency.
• Establish and maintain performance management systems, including KPIs, reporting cadence, and operational reviews that improve visibility, accountability, and decision-making.
• Lead operational excellence initiatives through lean manufacturing, continuous improvement, standardization, and disciplined problem solving.
• Lead the implementation and optimization of enterprise systems and operating infrastructure, including ERP-related processes, reporting, and business controls.
• Assess organizational structure and leadership capability, developing strong talent and identifying areas where capability upgrades or organizational changes are required.
• Partner with commercial leadership to support strategic customer relationships, sustain existing business, and enable continued growth in demanding technical markets.
• Drive greater rigor around consolidations, metrics, cross-site alignment, and management discipline to support a more scalable operating model.
• Lead change effectively while maintaining business continuity, customer confidence, and operational stability.
• Ensure compliance with applicable customer, regulatory, safety, and industry quality standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree. Masters/MBA preferred
• Progressive leadership experience in precision manufacturing, aerospace, defense, space, or other high-spec industrial environments.
• Demonstrated success with full business or P&L ownership in a plant, business unit, division, or multi-site leadership role.
• Strong operational foundation and knowledge of advanced machining or similarly technical production environments.
• Proven ability to improve operational performance through stronger execution, quality, delivery, productivity, and commercial discipline.
• Experience implementing systems, processes, and management disciplines that improve scalability, reporting, and operational control.
• Experience assessing teams, developing talent, and leading organizational change in an evolving manufacturing setting.
• Strong leadership, communication, and decision-making skills, with the ability to operate effectively across executive, customer, and plant-level environments.
