360X Staffing – Marine Division is currently hiring 1st Class Shipfitters for ongoing ship repair and new-construction projects in Jacksonville, FL. We are seeking reliable, safety-driven tradespeople with strong structural fitting experience in a shipyard environment.
Jacksonville, FL – Local & Non-Local OK (Per Diem Provided)
- Read and interpret blueprints, sketches, and marine structural drawings
- Fit, align, and fabricate structural components (bulkheads, foundations, shells, decks, etc.)
- Measure, cut, bevel, and grind metal to specifications
- Layout work using rulers, squares, levels, and measuring tools
- Work in confined spaces, elevated areas, and various shipboard environments
- Follow all shipyard safety policies and 360X standards
Requirements
- 3–5 years shipfitting experience in ship repair or new construction
- Strong blueprint reading skills
- Ability to pass hands-on fit test
- Must have own basic shipfitter tools
- Able to work overtime when required
- Must meet all shipyard physical/safety requirements (heights, confined spaces, etc.)
- Day Shift: $28- $30/hr
- OT available
- Weekly pay
