About the Role
We are seeking a detail-oriented Seasonal Tax Preparer to support our team from February through mid-April 2026. This position is ideal for a motivated self-starter who can prepare and complete tax returns accurately and efficiently. Successful candidates may be invited back for future tax seasons. Compensation is commensurate with experience.
Office Environment
- Core Hours: Monday–Friday, 8:30 AM–5:00 PM (extended during peak season)

Key Responsibilities
- Organize and enter client data into UltraTax software
- Prepare and/or assist with federal and state individual and estate tax returns (simple to complex)
- Review returns for accuracy and completeness
- Communicate with clients to answer questions and collect missing information
- Utilize practice management software for workflow and billing
Qualifications
- Prior tax preparation experience (tax practice or retail setting)
- Strong knowledge of tax laws, concepts, Form 1040, and schedules
- Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and tax software
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
- Strong verbal and written communication skills for client and team interactions
- High attention to detail and time efficiency
- Accounting degree preferred
