360 Energy offers mobile natural gas offtake solutions that allow oil & gas operators to capture and monetize stranded field gas—directly at the source. These solutions were engineered to process stranded natural gas into valuable computational outputs through generators, data centers and servers.
Position Overview
We are seeking a Field Generator Mechanic to join our growing operations team. This role will focus on the commissioning, maintenance, and repair of reciprocating natural gas generators. The ideal candidate is a reliable, hands-on problem solver with strong mechanical aptitude, the ability to communicate effectively and work as part of a team.
Responsibilities
- Provide preventative and corrective maintenance on large, 4-stroke reciprocating natural gas gensets to ensure reliable performance.
- Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair and overhaul mechanical, ignition, cooling, fuel system, alternator, etc.
- Perform scheduled preventative maintenance to ensure gensets run optimally over the long term
- Maintain accurate service records, work orders, and maintenance logs.
- Support new field deployment installations along with commissioning.
- Collaborate with the operations team to minimize downtime of deployed assets.
- Adhere to all safety precautions and procedures for work around high-voltage equipment and natural gas.
- Be available for travel as needed, sometimes in remote out of state environments.
Qualifications
- The ideal candidate is highly motivated, committed to safety and quality, experienced in heavy industry, and adaptable to a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities
- 5 years of experience as an engine and/or generator mechanic.
- Familiarity with Waukesha/CAT large-scale (1500 HP , 12 Cylinder) generators is strongly preferred.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, communicating clearly with peers and supervisors.
- Willingness to travel to deployment sites and work outdoors in variable conditions.
- Must have a valid driver's license and an acceptable motor vehicle driving record (MVR). Reliable transportation to travel when necessary. Requires travel in the continental US.
- This position is designated a safety-sensitive position and/or is located in a safety-sensitive facility. Drug and alcohol program participation is required.
