Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled Wok Cook to prepare authentic and flavorful dishes using traditional wok cooking techniques. The ideal candidate will have experience working in a fast-paced kitchen, managing high-heat cooking, and ensuring consistent quality in every dish. If you are passionate about Asian cuisine and wok cooking, we’d love to have you on our team!
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and cook a variety of dishes using wok techniques, including stir-frying, deep-frying, and sautéing.
- Control cooking temperatures and timing to ensure food is cooked properly.
- Manage the wok station, ensuring cleanliness, organization, and efficiency.
- Follow restaurant recipes and plating standards to maintain food consistency.
- Maintain high food safety and sanitation standards.
- Work collaboratively with other kitchen staff to ensure smooth service.
- Restock ingredients and prepare mise en place for high-volume cooking.
- Handle food storage, portioning, and waste management efficiently.
- Assist with other kitchen tasks as needed.
Requirements & Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a Wok Cook, Line Cook, or in a similar role preferred.
- Strong knowledge of wok cooking techniques and Asian cuisine.
- Ability to work in a high-heat, fast-paced kitchen environment.
- Excellent knife skills and ingredient preparation knowledge.
- Understanding of food safety, hygiene, and sanitation regulations.
- Strong teamwork and communication skills.
- Ability to stand for long hours and lift up to [X] lbs.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
