We have an immediate opportunity for a CADD drafter in the Salt Lake County Utah area that will design underground and aerial telecom construction projects.
Seeking a highly motivated, detailed-oriented individual that has AutoCAD and Civil 3D experience. The CADD Operator will perform various field and desk top design functions revolving around projects including, but not limited to, site surveys, field engineering, OSP design, encroachment permitting and CAD of aerial, underground, and buried telecommunication systems.
Responsibilities
- Ability to draft parcels, or subdivision boundaries from legal descriptions using CAD techniques (Civil 3D)
- Maintains average skills in the use of AutoCAD
- Ability and acknowledge of perform Topographic survey, ALTA survey, Boundary Survey, As built Survey etc…
- Ability to read and plot Legal descriptions
- Understands surveying terminology
Qualifications
- High School Diploma/Equivalent; Associates Degree or a Certificate from a technical school, preferably in AutoCAD
- 3 years of related experience utilizing AutoCAD or Bluebeam
- Proficient with AutoCAD
- Must have construction knowledge in Telecom
- Must have the physical ability to walk job sites to measure poles and check utility separations
- Must have a Valid driver's license and have the ability to drive a company vehicle
- Proficient use of MS Office application including TEAMS, Word, Excel and PowerPoint
- Overtime required during busy season
- Work within a team-oriented environment to successfully complete a high volume of projects within established budgets and deadlines
Responsibilities:
- Create sketches, layouts, plans, and drawings for telecom underground and aerial construction projects
- Develop, modify, and review drawings according to client and/or company drafting standards
- Follow City Requirements and Utility Specifications
- Review all work for completeness and accuracy prior to submitting for engineering review
- Participate in design review meetings
