340B Health seeks a law student to work as a Law Clerk on a temporary, part-time (20-24 hours per week) basis to work on legal and policy issues relating to the federal 340B drug pricing program and other issues affecting our member hospitals. Interviews will be conducted on a rolling basis. This position is expected to end no later than August 31, 2026.

About The Organization
340B Health is a membership organization of more than 1,500 public and private nonprofit hospitals and health systems participating in the federal 340B drug pricing program. To support our members, 340B Health monitors, educates, and serves as an advocate on federal legislative and regulatory issues related to drug pricing and other matters affecting safety-net providers. We provide a wide variety of education programs and materials to assist our members in operating fully-compliant, high-quality programs. Our membership consists of a broad spectrum of hospitals, including academic medical centers, community hospitals, children's hospitals, and rural facilities.
Primary Responsibilities
- Assist the 340B Health legal and policy team with:
- Tracking, reviewing, and summarizing case filings in litigation relevant to the 340B program
- Researching, summarizing and analyzing issues pertaining to the federal 340B drug discount program and related pharmaceutical and health care programs
- Updating member educational materials to keep hospitals abreast of issues and developments relevant to the 340B and Medicaid programs
- Development of presentations for 340B Coalition conferences, webinars, and other events
- Drafting policy statements, comments on proposed regulations, and letters to government officials and Congress
- Attending and producing records of meetings, webinars, and other policy/regulatory discussions related to 340B
- Completion of at least one year of law school
- Proficiency in computer-based legal research
- Demonstrated analytical, writing, organizational, and communication skills
- Excellent people skills
- Ability to handle multiple tasks on deadline
- Willingness to work in a fast-paced office environment
- Experience using Microsoft office Suite (Outlook, Word)
- A 3-6 page original written summary and/or analysis of a legal issue is required when you complete the application process for this position
- This position is based in Washington, D.C., and will require in-office attendance that will range between 2-3 days per week
