Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly upon arrival and guide them to their tables with a friendly, professional attitude
- Take accurate drink and food orders using POS systems such as Square, ensuring timely delivery
- Prepare and serve cocktails, beverages, and food items with precision, adhering to safety and sanitation standards
- Upsell menu items and drink specials to enhance guest experience and increase sales opportunities
- Maintain cleanliness of the bar area, tables, and service stations, including bussing and resetting tables efficiently
- Manage cash handling responsibilities accurately through POS systems like OpenTable or other restaurant software
- Foster positive guest relations by providing attentive service, addressing inquiries promptly, and ensuring overall satisfaction
Requirements
- Proven experience in food service or restaurant environments, especially in fine dining or nightlife venues such as nightclubs or upscale bars
- Familiarity with POS systems including Square for order processing and cashiering
- Strong knowledge of food safety standards, sanitation practices, and proper food handling procedures
- Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tables efficiently during busy hours
- Ability to upsell menu items confidently while maintaining a friendly rapport with guests
- Previous experience in serving, bartending, or host/hostess required; enthusiasm for hospitality is essential
- Basic math skills for cash handling and billing accuracy; culinary or kitchen experience is a plus for understanding food preparation processes
- Exceptional customer service skills with a focus on guest relations and hospitality excellence
