Position Summary
The Production/Warehouse Manager is a dual-role leadership position responsible for managing daily operations on the production floor as well as overseeing all warehouse and inventory activities. This position ensures that products are manufactured, handled, stored, and shipped efficiently, accurately, and safely. The role requires a hands-on, results-driven leader with a strong understanding of lean manufacturing, inventory control, logistics, and team development.
Key Responsibilities
Production Management
- Supervise daily operations across fabrication, cutting (laser, saw, CNC), and finishing departments.
- Plan and prioritize production schedules to meet customer demand and delivery deadlines.
- Enforce safety, quality, and efficiency standards across all departments.
- Implement lean manufacturing and 5S principles to eliminate waste and improve flow.
- Troubleshoot production issues, machinery concerns, and bottlenecks in real-time.
- Work closely with the design and sales teams to ensure custom orders are accurately produced.
Warehouse Management
- Oversee receiving, stocking, picking, packing, and shipping processes.
- Manage and maintain inventory levels, ensuring material availability for production.
- Collaborate with Inventory Control and Purchasing to streamline material replenishment.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse that aligns with 5S standards.
- Ensure the accuracy of incoming and outgoing shipments and documentation.
- Train and supervise warehouse staff on forklift use, order picking, replenishment, and safety.
Team Leadership & Culture
- Lead, train, and develop team leads and hourly employees across both production and warehouse departments.
- Conduct regular team huddles, communicate expectations, and promote accountability.
- Foster a respectful, open-door culture where ideas can be shared and improvements can be made without fear of retaliation.
- Set clear goals, track performance, and provide regular feedback.
Qualifications
- 5 years of experience in a manufacturing or distribution environment, with at least 3 years in a supervisory or management role.
- Experience in both production and warehouse operations is required.
- Strong knowledge of lean manufacturing, 5S, and continuous improvement.
- Experience with ERP systems and warehouse management software.
- Proven ability to lead teams, solve problems, and improve processes.
- Forklift certification or willingness to become certified.
- Ability to read blueprints, understand production travelers, and manage job scheduling.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus.

Physical Requirements
