We are seeking an experienced and strategic Engineering Manager to oversee all engineering and maintenance operations across our properties on the campus, including hotels, restaurants, and employee housing. This role ensures that all facilities are maintained to the highest standards of safety, functionality, and aesthetics, with time and attention allocated evenly across all locations.
The Maintenance Manager will lead and support property-level engineering teams, collaborate closely with cross-functional departments, and ensure full compliance with safety and regulatory requirements. A key aspect of this role is strong collaboration and communication with property General Managers, the Collared Martin leadership team, and Blue Flag Capital’s asset management and development team, aligning engineering operations with both guest service goals and long-term asset strategy.
This role reports directly to the Area General Manager — Jackson and requires a balance of big-picture planning and hands-on operational oversight to deliver consistently exceptional environments for guests and staff.
Key Responsibilities

Support the Maintenance Manager in leading and managing regional engineering teams across all properties on the campus, providing direction, mentorship, and support to ensure staff are well-trained, engaged, and aligned with company standards. Report any maintenance issues within the condos to the HOA and coordinate with home owners to ensure completion of work, quality and billing.

Allocate time and oversight evenly across all properties, including hotels, restaurants, and employee housing, ensuring consistent maintenance and operational excellence. Ensure all properties receive full PM program seasonally with tracking chart to ensure completion.

Develop and implement comprehensive preventive maintenance programs for all facilities, hotels, including seasonal outdoor amenities, all restaurants, pool compliance, , and multiple employee housing structures.

Oversee all building systems, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, life safety, and structural components, ensuring they operate efficiently and meet the highest safety and compliance standards.

Coordinate closely with property General Managers and department heads to plan maintenance schedules that minimize disruption to guests and operations.

Support the Maintenance Manager with communication as the primary engineering liaison to the Collared Martin leadership team and Blue Flag Capital's asset management and development teams, providing regular updates and aligning maintenance initiatives with long-term asset strategy.

Ensure full compliance with local, state, and federal codes and regulations, including safety, environmental, health, and building standards.

Conduct regular site inspections across all locations to proactively identify maintenance needs, ensure standards are met, and prioritize improvements that enhance the guest and staff experience.

Assist the Maintenance Manager in engineering budgets and capital expenditures, including forecasting, expense tracking, and identifying cost-effective solutions without compromising quality.

Respond quickly to emergency maintenance situations, ensuring prompt resolution and minimal disruption to operations or guest satisfaction.

Stay current with industry best practices and emerging technologies, recommending and implementing innovations that improve sustainability, energy efficiency, and operational effectiveness.
Additional Duties

Coordinate with third-party vendors and contractors for specialized maintenance, renovation, and compliance-related projects, ensuring quality workmanship and adherence to deadlines.

Oversee the maintenance and presentation of outdoor areas, including landscaping, grounds, and recreational facilities such as pools.

Design and deliver ongoing training programs for engineering staff, with emphasis on safety, new systems and technologies, regulatory requirements, and service excellence.

Support capital planning and major renovations, collaborating with internal teams and ownership to execute facility upgrades with minimal guest impact.

Participate actively in leadership meetings, contributing insights and updates on engineering initiatives, risk mitigation, sustainability efforts, and long-term property improvement planning.

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Facilities Management, or a related field.

Minimum of 3 years of experience in engineering management, preferably in the hospitality industry.

Strong leadership and team management skills.

Knowledge of building systems, maintenance practices, and regulatory compliance.

Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays as needed.

Maintain your CPO operators license to ensure all pool compliance across multiple water facilities.
