Bartender

30hop American Restaurant & Bar in Cedar Rapids, IA is looking for full-time & part-time Bartenders to join our team!

30hop is a Midwest-based, full-service American bar and kitchen with multi-million dollar locations. Established in Iowa, we’ve steadily expanded into multiple states. Each new location allows us to share our passion for hospitality and craft dining while offering our team fresh opportunities to grow, learn, and advance their careers.

Our bar is a focal point of the restaurant. Cleanliness, setup, and presentation are key to keeping it inviting and reflecting the premium service we provide. Bartenders are responsible for making high-quality cocktails, maintaining smooth service, and supporting the dining room when needed.

Compensation for fully trained Bartenders starts at $4.35/hour plus tips, with tip payouts distributed nightly.

Schedule: Full or part-time. Shifts are anywhere from 4-8 hours depending on your availability. Emphasis on Weekend availability.

Full-time Benefits: Available for all full-time employees who work on average 35 hours per week or more.

Responsibilities

• Welcome bar guests promptly and create a friendly, energetic atmosphere
• Prepare and serve cocktails, beer, wine, and other beverages according to company standards
• Maintain strong knowledge of beverage offerings, menu items, and drink preparation
• Fulfill dining room beverage tickets accurately and efficiently
• Follow service standards to ensure consistent guest experiences
• Anticipate guest needs and provide attentive hospitality throughout service
• Build positive guest interactions that reflect the 30hop brand and culture
• Keep the bar area clean, organized, stocked, and service ready at all times
• Complete opening, running, and closing sidework duties
• Process guest checks and payments accurately and professionally
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of bar tools, equipment, and glassware
• Support team members and restaurant operations as needed
• Perform additional duties assigned by leadership
  
  

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years old
• Previous bartending experience preferred
• Strong knowledge of cocktails, beer, wine, and spirits
• Excellent communication and multitasking abilities
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness
• Ability to remain professional and composed in a high volume environment
• Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays
