Building Location: 32nd Avenue Building Department: 3001030 GASTROENTEROLOGY - 32ND CLIN Job Description: Utilizes advanced health assessment, knowledge, and decision making skills, works independently and in collaboration with physicians and other health care professionals. Provides health care to individuals and families, emphasizing health promotion and disease prevention. They may care for patients ranging in age from newborn to elderly as noted in age-related category and area of expertise. Education Qualifications: NP: Master's degree in nursing PA: Bachelor’s degree in a health/science-related field Licensure/Certification Qualifications: We are seeking a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our growing GI team, working collaboratively on a team-based model that includes 2 Physicians and 4 Advanced Practice Clinicians in offering new services, utilizing our state-of-the-art Endoscopy suite and enhancing our clinic with more exam rooms. With a plan to incorporate new programs that will enhance treatment options for acute and chronic GI conditions (including the esophagus, stomach, small bowel, liver, pancreas and colon), and expand availability for patient access. Casual (PRN) Clinical schedule Mon-Fri between the hours of 8am-5pm Provide initial consult/follow-up care in clinic setting 6-10 outpatients per day No call coverage The Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant utilizes advanced health assessment, knowledge, and decision-making skills, while working both independently and in collaboration with physicians and other health care professionals. The NP/PA will provide health care to individuals and families, emphasizing health promotion and disease prevention. They may care for patients ranging in age from 18 to elderly as noted in age-related category and area of expertise. Position requires high level of customer service skills to establish and enhance positive relationships with patients, co-workers, and others. EDUCATION/TRAINING: Master’s or Doctorate degree in Nurse Practitioner or Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Physician Assistant program from an accredited program/institution. Licensure/Certifications required: Current licensure as a registered nurse in ND and MN. Current licensure as a Nurse Practitioner in ND and MN. Current certification in CPR. National certification, in applicable area. Successful completion of Essentia Health credentialing process prior to practice.
