What You’ll Do
Event Coordination (Primary Focus)
You will own specific workstreams and support senior leaders throughout the event lifecycle. Responsibilities may include:
- Managing registration platforms, attendee outreach, and list management
- Coordinating speaker outreach, prep calls, bios, and presentation assets
- Supporting agenda updates, program materials, and run-of-show documentation
- Assisting with logistics tasks such as venue coordination, shipping, materials, and suppliers
- Coordinating sponsor deliverables and tracking related deadlines
- Providing onsite assistance during in-person events
- Supporting budget tracking or invoice processing related to your components
- Drafting and editing event copy (emails, landing pages, newsletters, abstracts)
- Updating promotional materials and supporting attendee marketing efforts
- Collaborating with creative, digital, and editorial teams to ensure aligned deliverables
- Supporting digital marketing tasks related to government IT programs
- Supporting Account Directors and Senior Managers with assigned tasks and updates
- Participating in internal and client meetings
- Communicating professionally with clients, speakers, sponsors, and partners
- Maintaining organized project documentation and following through on deadlines
- Offering ideas that enhance program quality and participant experience
What You Bring
- BA or BS degree plus 2–4 years of experience in event coordination, project coordination, or similar roles
- Hands-on experience with logistics, timelines, vendors, speakers, or registration systems
- Strong writing and communication skills
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks
- A proactive, collaborative mindset — able to run with tasks independently under senior guidance
- Comfort with event tools, project management platforms, or collaboration software
- Enjoy the structure and pace of events
