Senior Specialist, Fixed Equipment (Global Procurement) Influence Across Rio Tinto's Fixed Equipment Portfolio Career visibility and stakeholder exposure Based in Perth, Australia About the Role An exciting opportunity has become available for an experienced procurement professional to join Rio Tinto's Global Procurement – Fixed Equipment. Reporting to the Capital Procurement Manager – Fixed Equipment, this role is responsible for establishing and managing the operational foundations that support Rio Tinto's strategic supplier relationships across the global Fixed Equipment portfolio. The successful candidate will drive consistency across supplier governance, stakeholder engagement, contract management, supplier performance and value delivery. This role requires an individual who can build trusted relationships across a broad stakeholder network, connect activity across projects and operations, and translate supplier engagement into practical actions that improve supplier performance, strengthen governance and support strategic decision making. Key Responsibilities Own strategic supplier governance, performance and operational management for strategic Fixed Equipment suppliers. Lead commercial performance across strategic supplier relationships, including OA governance, supplier agreements and pricing frameworks. Identify and deliver opportunities that improve supplier performance, manage risk and maximise value outcomes. Act as the primary interface between Account Management, Category Management and key business stakeholders. Ensure alignment between supplier activities, operational priorities and strategic objectives. Contribute to supplier account strategies, global framework strategies and supplier strategies. Support supplier positioning, major project engagement and strategic sourcing initiatives. What You'll Bring Experience in procurement, category management and supplier management. Strong commercial acumen, stakeholder management and influencing capability. Ability to build trusted relationships and drive outcomes across complex, cross-functional environments. Experience managing supplier performance, commercial arrangements and value delivery initiatives. Strong strategic thinking, problem solving and analytical capability. Ability to balance long-term objectives with operational priorities and deliver results through others. Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels. Experience working with strategic suppliers, OEMs or complex supply chains is highly desirable.
