The Director of Finance is the Financial Strategic Partner for leadership at the Hospital/Division level, responsible for managerial accounting functions and ensuring the practice of responsible, financially informed decision making within leadership. Identifies, measures, manages and reports risk to leadership in pursuit of achieving financial goals. This position is responsible for collaborating with hospital/division leaders on all financial initiatives. Essential Job Function Oversee, coordinate, and manage the operating budget process and the quarterly rolling forecast process at the Hospital/Division level including monthly variance analysis. Oversee and participate in the ongoing capital budget processes at the Hospital/Division level. Participate in month end closing process. Responsible for ensuring directors, managers, and others understand how tutilize financial information provided tthem and provide assistance in analyzing, planning and execution of related strategies when necessary. Responsible for understanding the entire business model at the Hospital/Division for the purpose of planning, executing strategies, and providing education tnon-financial leaders. Responsible for facilitating the collaboration at the Hospital/Division level for all financial initiatives across the system. This includes Revenue Cycle, Corporate Finance, Operations Advisor, Internal Controls, etcContinually analyze financial and statistical data in order tidentify unusual operating trends and areas of opportunity in the expense and revenue areas keeping Leadership informed. Maintains a working knowledge of information in all the various financial information systems and serve as a resource for obtaining specific information when needed. Provides financial leadership, guidance, and education at the Hospital/Division level. Education Required:Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Healthcare Administration or a related field demonstrating strong analytical capabilities. Preferred:Master's Degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Healthcare Administration or related field demonstrating strong analytical capabilities. Experience Required: Eight years of progressive experience in healthcare finance or operations with management-related duties and responsibilities. Strong knowledge and experience with financial planning and management processes and practices. Preferred:Ten years of progressive experience in healthcare finance with management-related duties and responsibilities. Licensure/Certification/Listing REQUIRED HFMA – Certified Healthcare Financial Professional certification within 12 months of hire.
