Job Overview

Duties

- Handle cash, credit, and debit transactions while maintaining proper cash handling procedures.
- Provide exceptional customer service by greeting customers warmly and assisting them with their inquiries.
- Upsell products and services to enhance the customer experience and increase sales.
- Perform merchandising tasks including stocking shelves, organizing displays, and ensuring product availability.
- Conduct product demonstrations to engage customers and promote new items.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization at the checkout area and surrounding spaces.
- Assist in training new cashiers or team members as needed, utilizing your supervising experience.
- Utilize basic math skills for accurate transaction processing and retail math calculations.
Requirements
- Previous cashiering experience in a grocery store or retail environment is preferred.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with customers.
