Assistant Baker – Dog Bakery (Part-Time)
Location: Hoboken, NJ
Pay: $16/hour
Schedule: Part-time, 2 days per week to start (with opportunity for additional hours as needed)
About UsWe are a small, growing dog bakery specializing in handcrafted dog treats and celebration cakes made with high-quality, dog-safe ingredients. We’re looking for a reliable and creative Assistant Baker to help support daily production and decorating needs.
Responsibilities- Assist with baking dog treats, cookies, and specialty items
- Decorate dog cakes, cookies, and treats with attention to detail and consistency
- Follow established recipes, food safety standards, and preparation guidelines
- Help with prep work, icing, shaping, and finishing baked goods
- Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary kitchen workspace
- Assist with packaging and labeling as needed
- Work efficiently to meet production deadlines, especially during busy seasons
- Baking experience required (professional or strong home-baking background)
- Cake decorating skills required
- Cookie decorating skills required (icing, piping, detail work)
- Comfortable working with repetitive tasks while maintaining quality
- Ability to follow instructions and recipes precisely
- Reliable, punctual, and detail-oriented
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift light to moderate kitchen items
- Passion for dogs is a big plus 🐾
- 2 days per week to start
- Additional hours may be available during holidays, special orders, or as the business grows
