What are the responsibilities and job description for the Dog handler - 3rd shift/overnight position at 3 Dogs Boarding and Daycare/Stay Pet Hotel?
We are a professional dog boarding and daycare facility seeking reliable, motivated
individuals to join our team as Dog Handlers. This role is hands-on, active, and
essential to the safety, care, and wellbeing of the dogs entrusted to us.
No prior dog-handling experience is required. We provide training and ongoing
support. What matters most is your work ethic, judgment, and ability to work responsibly in a fast-paced environment.
We are primarily cage free so during the night you will be watching and listening to the group (monitoring for any health, medical or behavior issues) and picking up messes as they happen.
Morning shifts start as early as 6am and evening shifts can run as late as 10pm. Must be available to work holidays. During training your schedule will change, as we will be cross training you on multiple shifts and duties. After training, your schedule will become consistent.
Available shift: 3rd shift 10pm-8am (Fri, Sat with more available during high volume times)
What You’ll Do
* Supervise groups of dogs safely and attentively
* Monitor canine body language and intervene appropriately
* Maintain clean, sanitary play areas and kennels
* Follow established safety protocols and procedures at all times
* Work as part of a team to ensure smooth daily operations
* Provide consistent care and structure for dogs of all sizes and energy levels

and cleanliness.
