Join a growing manufacturing team as a Janitor on third shift at our Lapeer, MI CNC/Stamping facility. This role is responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and organized shop floor and office environment so employees can work efficiently and safely across all areas of the building. Janitorial Associates play a key part in supporting safety and productivity by upholding high standards of cleanliness throughout production, warehouse, and office spaces.
Responsibilities
- Clean CNC and stamping shop floor, offices, restrooms, lunchroom, and other common areas.
- Sweep, mop, vacuum, dust, and operate a walk-behind floor scrubber on production and hallway floors.
- Collect and dispose of trash and recyclables from both shop floor and office areas.
- Clean and sanitize high-touch surfaces and high-traffic areas, including door handles, time clocks, and break areas.
- Restock and rotate cleaning and paper supplies in restrooms, office areas, and breakrooms.
- Complete assigned cleaning tasks efficiently and independently with minimal supervision.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 2 years of janitorial/custodial experience, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial setting.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and walk/stand for extended periods (up to 2 miles per shift) on concrete shop floors and throughout office areas.
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED).
- Reliable, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in an active shop floor environment as well as office spaces.
- Must successfully complete pre-employment screenings (background check, drug test, and physical).
- Must be authorized to work in the United States.
