Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Shipping/Receiving Lead to join our team in Pflugerville. This role is crucial in overseeing the shipping and receiving operations, ensuring efficient inventory management and logistics processes. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a solid understanding of warehouse management systems, and the ability to drive process improvements within the shipping and receiving department.

Duties

• Lead and supervise the shipping and receiving team to ensure timely and accurate processing of all shipments.
• Manage inventory control processes, including tracking stock levels and conducting regular audits.
• Oversee warehouse distribution activities, ensuring compliance with OSHA standards and safety protocols.
• Implement process improvements to enhance operational efficiency within the shipping and receiving functions.
• Utilize warehouse management systems (WMS) for effective inventory management and logistics coordination.
• Coordinate with e-commerce teams to ensure accurate order fulfillment and timely shipping.
• Train and mentor team members on best practices in materials handling, heavy lifting techniques, and equipment operation.
• Maintain accurate records of all shipping and receiving transactions using AS400 or similar systems.
• Collaborate with third-party logistics (3PL) providers to optimize shipping processes.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in warehouse management or as a warehouse supervisor, with a strong background in shipping & receiving operations.
• Familiarity with inventory management principles and logistics processes is essential.
• Proficient in using warehouse management systems (WMS) for tracking inventory and managing orders.
• Experience operating forklifts and other material handling equipment safely.
• Strong mechanical knowledge related to warehouse operations is preferred.
• Ability to lift heavy items regularly as part of daily responsibilities.
• Excellent team management skills with a focus on training and developing staff members.
