We’re a family-run pond maintenance company with over a decade of hands-on experience serving homeowners across Northeast Ohio. We specialize in seasonal pond cleanings, bi-weekly algae treatments, and repairs — everything from pump fixes to full liner replacements. Our customers trust us because we’re local, meticulous, and genuinely care about the work we do.

We’ve built a loyal customer base and we’re ready to grow. To do that, we’re looking for our first dedicated sales representative — someone who wants to earn real commissions helping us connect with more homeowners who love their ponds.

The Opportunity

This is a commission-only role, and we want to be upfront about that. There’s no base salary, no hourly pay. What there is: a straightforward 12% commission on every contract you close, a genuine growth path as the company expands, and the flexibility to work this around your existing schedule.

• Enjoy talking to people and building trust — not high-pressure sales, just honest conversations with homeowners
• Want to earn extra income on your own schedule, without being managed hour-by-hour

What You’ll Do

• Generate your own leads by researching homeowners with ponds in the area (tools like Zillow make this approachable)
• Respond to inbound inquiries from our website, Facebook, and other channels
• Schedule and attend in-person consultations at the customer’s home
• Walk through our services, answer questions, and close seasonal maintenance or cleaning contracts
• Stay organized and follow up consistently with prospects

You won’t be doing the pond work — that’s us. Your job is to find the homeowners who need us and bring them in.

Training and Support

Our owner will personally train you on our services and pricing so you can answer questions confidently. They’ll attend your first several consults with you before you go out on your own. You’ll have everything you need to represent the company well — you won’t be dropped in cold.

What You Can Earn

To give you a sense of what’s possible — using a hypothetical example:

If an average contract were valued at $1,000:

• 1 signed contract = $120 in your pocket
• Close 10 customers in a season = approximately $1,200 in commission
• Close 20 customers = approximately $2,400

Actual contract values vary by job scope and customer needs.

This won’t replace a full-time income — and it’s not designed to. It’s a meaningful side income for someone who wants to put their sales skills to work a few hours a week.

Growth Path

As 2xtreme Waterscapes grows, this role has the potential to evolve into a part-time, paid Operations Manager position — handling customer communications, renewals, scheduling, and campaign coordination. For the right person who grows with us, there’s a real future here.

Requirements

• Must live in Northeast Ohio — you’ll be attending in-person consultations with homeowners (Ashtabula and surrounding counties preferred)
• Proven experience in sales, canvassing, customer outreach, or a related field
• Comfortable talking with homeowners and building rapport quickly
• Self-motivated — you’ll be building your own pipeline, not waiting for leads to be handed to you
• Reliable transportation and a clean, professional appearance
• Smartphone and basic comfort with email and social media

Nice to have (not required):

• Familiarity with the pond/landscape or home services industry
• Experience using Zillow or similar tools for prospecting
• Social media savvy (Facebook, Nextdoor)
