Job Overview
As a Barista at 2Ten Coffee Roasters, you serve as the face of the café. Your primary focus is providing exceptional customer service, maintaining a welcoming environment, and crafting high-quality beverages in a fast-paced team environment.
Core Responsibilities
- Customer Service & Atmosphere: Warmly greet guests, take orders, make recommendations, resolve complaints efficiently, and foster a positive café experience for regular and new customers alike.
- Drink Crafting & Upselling: Prepare coffee, espresso, tea, and specialty drinks to brand standards with consistency and precision. Customize orders upon request and suggest seasonal items or loyalty programs.
- Ingredient & Prep Work: Grind coffee, steam milk properly, prep beverage ingredients, and monitor inventory levels to keep supplies stocked.
- POS & Cash Handling: Process cash/card transactions accurately, manage POS register operations, balance register drawers, and follow tip-handling policies.
- Cleaning, Maintenance & Safety: Keep the barista station and seating areas clean, wash dishes, perform shift-end deep cleaning, maintain machines, and adhere strictly to food safety, sanitation, and allergen guidelines.
- Team Collaboration: Maintain clear communication with teammates during rush periods, assist with general café duties, and help train and support new hires.
Key Role Requirements: Strong multitasking skills, clear communication, organization, a positive attitude, and the ability to stay calm and efficient under pressure.
Pay: $13.00 - $15.00 per hour
