Position Overview

2nd STREET is seeking experienced Assistant Store Managers (ASM) with strong leadership abilities, operational excellence, and a passion for fashion and resale culture. This role supports the overall management of store operations, team development, customer experience, and sales performance.

The ASM partners closely with the Store Manager to drive business results, develop talent, maintain operational standards, and create a positive and engaging shopping environment. Key ResponsibilitiesStore Leadership & Operations

• Support the Store Manager in overseeing all daily store operations
• Help drive sales performance, profitability, and operational execution
• Monitor store performance and support achievement of sales and KPI goals
• Assist with scheduling, payroll oversight, attendance tracking, and labor management
• Ensure compliance with company procedures, operational standards, and safety policies
• Support inventory management, shrink prevention, and stock organization
• Maintain store cleanliness, merchandising standards, and visual presentation

Team Development & Talent Management

• Support recruitment, interviewing, onboarding, and training of new employees
• Coach and develop team members through consistent feedback and accountability
• Conduct floor leadership and provide direction to staff during daily operations
• Help establish performance expectations and support employee growth opportunities
• Foster a positive, inclusive, and high-performance team culture
• Ensure all employees follow company policies, procedures, and dress code standards

Customer Experience

• Deliver an engaging, genuine, and customer-focused shopping experience
• Resolve customer concerns professionally and promptly
• Educate customers on products, brands, trends, pricing, and store policies
• Support fitting room operations, POS transactions, and customer interactions
• Lead by example in providing outstanding customer service

Buying & Merchandising

• Support buying operations and ensure merchandise meets company quality and trend standards
• Assist with pricing, tagging, merchandising, and product flow
• Monitor inventory levels and sales trends to support business needs
• Support promotional activities and visual merchandising execution

Administrative & Compliance Responsibilities

• Support completion of financial, operational, and personnel-related administrative duties
• Ensure company forms, agreements, and records are completed accurately
• Maintain compliance with local, state, and federal regulations
• Report incidents, operational concerns, and irregularities to management promptly
• Maintain confidentiality regarding employee and company information

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of retail leadership or supervisory experience in a customer-focused environment
• Strong knowledge of fashion trends, streetwear, and resale retail culture
• Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
• Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities with minimal supervision
• Reliable, punctual, and dependable attendance
• Ability to handle confidential information professionally
• Flexible availability including evenings, weekends, and holidays
• Relocation flexibility preferred for future growth opportunities

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift up to 30 lbs
• Comfortable standing, walking, bending, and moving throughout shifts
• Ability to work in a fast-paced retail environment
