Position Overview
We are looking for a skilled Heavy Equipment Operator who can run equipment safely, efficiently, and with attention to grade and detail. This role is critical to keeping jobs on schedule and maintaining production standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate heavy equipment (excavators, skid steers, loaders, dozers, etc.)
- Perform grading, trenching, backfilling, and site prep work
- Read and interpret grade stakes, plans, and site layouts
- Conduct daily equipment inspections and basic maintenance
- Work closely with crew members to maintain workflow and efficiency
- Follow all safety procedures and jobsite protocols
- Maintain clean and organized job sites
Qualifications
- 2 years experience operating heavy equipment (more preferred)
- Strong understanding of grading and excavation fundamentals
- Ability to read grade stakes
- Reliable transportation and consistent attendance
- Strong work ethic — shows up ready to work, not be managed
- Ability to work in outdoor conditions year-round
- Valid driver’s license (CDL is a plus)
