Department: 03110 GCMG Pediatric Endocrinology and Diabetes Care: 4501 Cameron Valley Pkwy - Pediatrics: Endocrinology Status: Full time Benefits Eligible: Yes Hours Per Week: 40 Schedule Details/Additional Information: Monday - Friday 8am - 5pm Pay Range $34.90 - $52.35 Where You Will Work: Atrium Health Levine Children's Pediatric Endocrinology and Diabetes Specialists, with locations in Charlotte and Concord, and satellite locations in Hickory and Huntersville. Our services include diagnosis and treatment of diabetes, growth disorders, puberty issues, and various hormonal irregularities like thyroid, adrenal, and pituitary glands problems. We offer comprehensive care that combines medical treatment with lifestyle changes, nutritional counseling, and education supporting diabetes self-care management. We’re Looking For: Degree from an Accredited School of Nursing OR Bachelor’s Degree in Human Nutrition, Food and Nutrition, Biological Sciences, or Dietetics required. Current license to practice as a Registered Nurse (RN) OR Registered Dietitian in the State of North Carolina. Certified Diabetes Educator (CDE) or Board Certified - Advanced Diabetes Management (BC-ADM) required or actively achieving eligibility within two years of hire. BLS Required per policy guidelines. Two years of experience in diabetes care, education management, chronic disease or related patient care required. What You’ll Do: Coordinate and deliver Diabetes Education for pediatric patients and family members. Collaborates with a multidisciplinary team in determining age-appropriate educational needs of patients with diabetes. Participates in the development of appropriate educational materials and plans programs such as comprehensive diabetes education programs, support groups, staff development, diabetes in-services and orientation for new teammates, as well as other hospital staff. In collaboration with the medical staff and nursing staff, monitors the clinical care and education of patients and provides diabetes educational support to improve patient care and patient outcomes.
