What are the responsibilities and job description for the Deputy Juvenile Officer II- State Position (Part Time) position at 24th Judicial Circuit Juvenile Office?
The 24th Judicial Circuit is seeking an individual for the position of Juvenile Officer II. This position is responsible for the professional and supervisory level work in the enforcement and administration of the Missouri Juvenile Justice system. An employee in this position is vested with the statutory authority of a juvenile court officer to take charge of children who come within the jurisdiction of the juvenile or family court. Also, an employee in the position is to work with a high degree of independence. Work includes supervising the daily operation of juvenile court star in a circuit, assigned county or division under the assigned authority and general supervision of higher-level Juvenile Officer.
Minimum Qualifications and Experience: Graduation from a four-year college or university with a degree in Criminal Justice Administration, Criminology, Psychology, Sociology, Social Work or related field.
OR Professional employment in a public or private agency involving substantial amount of time (over 50% time) in the delivery of protective services to families, adults, children, or the aged may be substituted on a year for year basis for the required education. Must be 21 years of age with a valid driver license.
Minimum starting salary: $971.29 semi-monthly
