Sr. Graphic Designer – PHOENIX, AZ – Contract to hire

Job Description

Our Pool Company client is seeking a highly experienced, hands-on Senior Designer to support its internal marketing team. This is an excellent opportunity for an omnichannel designer who enjoys executing the work, collaborating closely with cross-functional partners, and producing high-quality creative across digital, print, retail, and web channels.

The Senior Designer will work within Leslie’s established brand guidelines and help bring marketing campaigns to life across the customer journey. This person will also serve as a mentor and creative resource to the team’s Graphic Designer and Production Designer.

This position will begin as a contract role with the potential to convert to a full-time position after approximately three months.

Key Responsibilities

• Concept, design, and produce integrated creative across digital and print channels.
• Develop promotional and advertising emails, paid display advertising, paid social creative, and performance marketing assets.
• Create in-store signage kits and point-of-purchase materials supporting more than 800 retail locations.
• Design direct mail, out-of-home advertising, web assets, and other customer-facing marketing materials.
• Support photo shoots and help translate photography into effective campaign creative.
• Contribute to future website initiatives, including a significant website project planned for 2027.
• Work effectively within established brand standards while finding creative ways to keep the work fresh, relevant, and engaging.
• Partner with marketing leaders, designers, production team members, copywriters, and other stakeholders to execute projects from concept through completion.
• Manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced, high-volume retail environment.
• Provide mentorship, creative guidance, and constructive feedback to the Graphic Designer and Production Designer.
• Prepare files accurately for both digital deployment and print production.
• Incorporate feedback while maintaining the quality and strategic intent of the work.
  
  

Required Qualifications

• Eight or more years of professional design experience.
• A strong portfolio demonstrating hands-on design work across both digital and print channels.
• Experience designing emails, paid display advertising, paid social content, retail signage, direct mail, out-of-home advertising, and web assets.
• Advanced proficiency in Figma and Adobe InDesign.
• Strong working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite.
• Demonstrated experience working within established brand guidelines.
• Strong understanding of production requirements for both digital and print deliverables.
• Ability to balance creative thinking with efficient, detail-oriented production.
• Excellent collaboration, communication, and time-management skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver polished work within tight deadlines.
• A team-oriented approach and willingness to mentor and support other designers.
  
  

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous retail, consumer, or multi-location brand experience.
• Experience supporting high-volume promotional or seasonal marketing campaigns.
• Experience with e-commerce or large-scale website design initiatives.
• Experience assisting with or providing creative support for photo shoots.
