Role Overview: The Digital Asset Management Specialist will play a critical role in managing and maintaining the organization's Digital Asset Management environment. This individual will ensure creative and supporting assets are properly organized, classified, and accessible while driving consistency, efficiency, and best practices across content operations.
Digital Asset Management Specialist Responsibilities:
- Execute single and bulk asset uploads within the DAM platform.
- Apply, validate, and maintain metadata to improve asset discoverability and reuse.
- Organize digital assets into structured catalogs, collections, and folders.
- Perform quality assurance checks on uploads, metadata updates, and asset classifications.
- Support content retrieval requests by locating and distributing approved assets.
- Conduct metadata cleanup and remediation efforts to maintain library accuracy.
- Improve file naming conventions, asset organization, and operational consistency.
- Assist in developing scalable workflows for asset storage, governance, and retrieval.
- Partner with creative, production, and operations teams to ensure proper asset management practices.
- Document processes, track exceptions, and escalate missing information as needed.
- Support ongoing DAM best practices and content governance initiatives.
Digital Asset Management Specialist Qualifications:
- 3-5 years of experience in Digital Asset Management (DAM), asset management, content operations, or creative operations.
- Strong understanding of metadata management and high-volume asset workflows.
- Experience with DAM platforms; Bynder experience is highly preferred.
- Proficiency with Excel, CSV imports/exports, and digital file management.
- Experience with collaboration and storage tools such as SharePoint and OneDrive.
- Familiarity with common creative file formats including JPG, PNG, PSD, AI, MP4, and PDF.
- Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Understanding of DAM best practices, content governance, and asset lifecycle management.
- Ability to work cross-functionally and communicate effectively with stakeholders.
