The Technical Designer will work closely with our design team and overseas manufacturing partners to ensure each garment meets our standards for fit, quality, and production accuracy.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop block specifications based on established size ranges.
- Partner with designers throughout the sample development process to achieve the intended fit and aesthetic.
- Prepare detailed specifications for all stages of development, including first fit, second fit, PP, and shipping samples.
- Independently coordinate and lead fit sessions.
- Communicate fit comments, corrections, and technical revisions clearly to overseas patternmakers.
- Develop grading for costing and pricing purposes.
- Create bulk grading for production.
- Maintain accuracy and consistency across technical packages and production specifications.
- Collaborate with design and production teams to resolve technical challenges and ensure timely execution.
- Minimum 2 years of professional experience as a Technical Designer specializing in Infant and Layette apparel.
- Strong knowledge of infant garment construction, fit, grading, and technical specifications.
- Experience working with overseas factories and patternmakers.
- Ability to independently manage fit sessions and communicate technical corrections.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple styles and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
