Duties
- Assist licensed electricians with installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems on construction sites
- Use hand tools and power tools safely and effectively to perform wiring, conduit bending, and fixture installation
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to support project execution
- Work with low voltage and high voltage electrical systems following NEC (National Electrical Code) standards
- Conduct basic testing with tools like ohmmeters to ensure proper circuit functionality
- Support framing carpentry tasks related to electrical infrastructure setup
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment while adhering to safety protocols at all times
Skills
- Prior experience with industrial or commercial electrician work is highly desirable
- Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, and construction site safety practices
- Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams accurately
- Knowledge of low voltage and high voltage electrical systems and safety standards
- Experience with NEC guidelines and electrical codes for construction projects
- Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail when troubleshooting circuits using ohmmeters or other testing devices
- Excellent communication skills and a proactive attitude toward learning new skills
