What are the responsibilities and job description for the Video Editor position at 24-7 Mindset with Coach Wally?
We are a fast-growing mortgage coaching brand based in Plano, Texas and we are looking for a sharp video editor who can work fast, think creatively and handle high-volume content production.
This is a full-time on-site position. Not remote. Not hybrid. You are in the building every day and you are a core part of how this brand operates.
What We Do
We help high-producing loan officers build mortgage businesses that generate referrals without chasing realtors. Our founder Wally Elibiary funds over $194 million a year and coaches 3,100 graduates through the 24-7 Mindset Academy. Content is how we grow. You are how the content gets made.
What You Will Be Editing
You will work across multiple content types every single week:
Social clips pulled from webinars, live events and coaching sessions — 30 to 90 second vertical 9:16 format for Instagram Reels and Facebook. These are not highlight reels. They are standalone teaching moments with a clear hook, a complete thought and a specific takeaway.
Testimonial clips from coaching clients that follow precise editor notes with exact in and out timestamps, on-screen text options, two-version exports for Facebook and Instagram and caption copy direction.
Podcast and long-form content structured as multi-episode series. Part 1 through Part 4 drops with cold opens, clean bridges between non-contiguous sections and episode-specific social clip pulls.
Paid ad creative cut for Meta. Cold audience and warm retargeting. 1:1 and 4:5 formats. Built to drive down cost per registration.
Onboarding videos with split-screen layouts combining speaker cam and screen recordings synced in real time.
What We Are Looking For
Two or more years of professional editing experience. Not personal projects. Real production work with real deadlines.
A portfolio that shows social-first editing. Short-form vertical content. Talking head footage. Testimonial clips. If your reel is full of cinematic B-roll and color grading showpieces but has no social clips we are probably not the right fit.
Experience with Adobe Premiere Pro or DaVinci Resolve. You are fast and you are accurate.
Comfortable working from written briefs without needing someone to explain everything verbally. We document everything. You read the brief. You build the clip. You flag the issues.
Strong communication. If a clip is not working you say so. If a number needs confirmation before the caption goes live you flag it. You are a collaborator not just a technician.
What You Are Walking Into
A brand that produces content across Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn and YouTube for a founder who still originates loans while running a coaching company. The content calendar is active, the production pipeline is organized and the editor notes are detailed. You are not starting from scratch. You are stepping into a system.
The volume is real. The briefs are thorough. The standards are high. If you can deliver fast, clean, platform-ready work from a detailed brief you will thrive here.
To Apply
Send your portfolio, a brief note on your editing background and why this role fits where you are headed. We are not looking for the most experienced editor in the world. We are looking for the right one.
