Duties
- Coordinate and assign freight loads
- Communicate clearly with drivers, carriers, and clients via multi-line phone systems, maintaining professional phone etiquette and strong communication skills.
- Enter data accurately into systems for tows, shipment tracking, scheduling, and reporting purposes.
- Manage fleet operations by coordinating maintenance schedules, tracking vehicle statuses and supporting fleet management efforts.
- Analyze logistical data to identify efficiencies or issues in supply chain operations, providing actionable insights for continuous improvement.
Experience
Experience preferred but not required.
- Proven experience in dispatching within a logistics or transportation environment a plus.
- Understanding of supply chain processes, transportation planning, and towing and freight logistics.
- Proficiency in using GPS technology, GIS mapping tools, and multi-line phone systems for effective communication.
- Excellent analysis skills to interpret data related to shipping & receiving, fleet management, and logistics operations.
- Ability to perform data entry accurately while managing multiple priorities.
- Demonstrated professionalism in phone etiquette and communication skills essential for coordinating with drivers and clients.
