Duties
- Assist with the installation of wooden structures, formwork, and leveling to ensure structural integrity.
- Operate hand tools, power tools, and heavy equipment safely and efficiently on construction sites.
- Support carpentry tasks such as framing, trim carpentry, and roofing to meet project specifications.
- Interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to follow construction plans accurately.
- Perform heavy lifting and material handling, including concrete pumping and masonry work.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment while adhering to construction workplace safety regulations.
- Collaborate with team members on renovation, restoration, and commercial projects to meet deadlines and quality standards.
Skills
- Strong mechanical knowledge and familiarity with construction estimating processes.
- Experience with concrete finishing techniques such as screeding, troweling, and surface smoothing.
- Skilled in rebar installation, concrete cutting, formwork construction, and concrete mixing.
- Ability to interpret blueprint specifications and technical drawings accurately.
- Knowledge of construction safety regulations and proper use of hand tools, power tools, and heavy machinery.
- Proficiency in working on diverse construction projects including heavy lifting, scaffolding, metal stud framing, masonry, stucco application, caulking, tile laying, flooring installation, roofing, plastering, welding, and working with schematics.
- Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) preferred for site transportation needs; experience operating heavy equipment is a plus.
- Excellent teamwork skills with a proactive attitude towards safety and quality standards.
