Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and hardworking Farm Hand to join our agricultural team. The ideal candidate will assist in various farming operations, including alfalfa, wheat, and straw harvest, ground tillage, alfalfa and/or timothy planting, operation and general maintenance of farm equipment and vehicles, and the general work required to maintain a farm.
Hours can very from 40 hours, 5 days a week in between harvests, to 80 hours, 6 days a week during harvest and planting. The position will begin June 23rd and continue through the end of August.
Responsibilities
- Operate and maintain farm machinery and equipment, ensuring they are in good working condition.
- Assist with planting, growing, and harvesting crops in fields.
- Utilize hand tools effectively for various farming tasks like maintenance and repairs.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure all farm operations run smoothly.
Experience
- Previous experience in farming or agricultural work is preferred but not required; a willingness to learn is essential.
- Familiarity with farm machinery and equipment operation is preferred.
- Basic skills in using hand tools and performing minor repairs are desirable.
