22ND ST. LANDING SEAFOOD GRILL & BAR, an award-winning waterfront restaurant in San Pedro, is looking to hire a HOST/BUSSER.
Our 350-seat upscale casual restaurant features a large main dining room, a full bar, outside patios, a cocktail area, and a banquet room. We've been in operation for over 3 decades (since 1990) and have a team of over 50 staff.

WE ARE LOOKING TO HIRE SOMEONE WHO CAN WORK BOTH AS A HOST AND AS A BUSSER. ATTRIBUTES WE ARE SEARCHING FOR:

- Must be willing to work Fridays, Saturdays, Sundays and holidays
- Ability to occasionally work Mondays when holidays land on Mondays or when we need to hold a staff meeting on a Monday (this typically happens only a few Mondays each year)
- Ability to bend, stoop and work in a standing position for long periods of time
- Ability to lift up to 40 pounds comfortably and safely
JOB DUTIES:
In the busser position (which is a tipped $$ position), your primary responsibilities include setting and clearing tables to provide a clean and tidy environment to patrons. You will also assist with bringing water and bread to tables and rearranging tables as needed.
In the host position (which is not a tipped position), your primary responsibilities will include answering phones, making reservations, creating wait lists, and greeting and seating guests.
Both positions also include side work aimed at ensuring the restaurant stays clean and appropriately stocked (for example: stocking bussing stations with plates, polishing flatware, cleaning windows and menu covers, ensuring floral bouquets have fresh water, etc.) Shift length for both hosts and bussers is 6 hours, but you will usually be cut earlier than that.
RESTAURANT HOURS
Our restaurant is open Tuesdays through Sundays and closed on Mondays (except when holidays land on Mondays, in which case we may chose to open). Depending on the day of the week, we open around 11am or 11:30am and close around 8pm or 8:30pm.
