Position: Workers’ Compensation Claims Assistant
Location: Anaheim, CA
Contract: 6 months
Position type: Onsite
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. (on-site at Anaheim West Tower)
Key Responsibilities:
- Intake and setup of new workers' compensation claims in our claims system (Insurity/ClaimsExpress or similar).
- Scanning, indexing, and routing mail, medical records, and claim-related documents to examiners.
- Handling incoming calls from injured employees, departments, and vendors; routing calls and taking detailed messages.
- Preparing standard correspondence, notices, and forms under the direction of the Claims Examiners and Workers' Compensation Manager.
- Assisting with data entry, file maintenance, and basic report generation.
- Providing backup coverage for main workers' compensation phone lines as needed.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Prior experience in workers' compensation claims (public agency experience is a plus).
- Familiarity with workers' compensation terminology and claim documents.
- Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to manage a high volume of paperwork.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel) and document management systems.
