  • Create, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot virtual machines, preferably using Microsoft Hyper-V.
  • Manage, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot Microsoft Failover Clusters.
  • Support a variety of mass storage arrays and RAID configurations.
  • Use Microsoft PowerShell to automate tedious, repetitive, or error-prone tasks related to the installation, configuration, troubleshooting, and management of IT systems and services.

  • Perform basic network troubleshooting, including identification and resolution support for IP conflicts, DNS resolution problems, and switch port status issues.
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of existing on-site technologies and consider emerging technologies that may improve operations, performance, reliability, or maintainability.
  • Add, configure, and manage Microsoft Server roles and features, including File and Storage Services, Print and Document Services, and Remote Desktop Services.
  • Troubleshoot Windows Server Update Services issues, including use of System File Checker (SFC) and Deployment Image Servicing and Management (DISM) utilities where appropriate.
  • Manage tape backup servers, tape backup libraries, and tape workstations used to archive user data and perform system backups.
  • Maintain the inventory of blank tapes and manage backup operations, including identifying, correcting, and documenting abnormal or unexpected conditions involving backup and replication platforms such as Arcserve or similar tools.
  • Configure and monitor systems and servers using Windows Admin Center.
  • Configure and monitor systems and servers using Remote Server Administration Tools, including Active Directory Users and Computers, Remote Desktop, Hyper-V Manager, Failover Cluster Manager, and Windows Deployment Services.

  • Complete and maintain daily, weekly, and monthly checklists, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Standard Operating Guidelines (SOGs), and additional documents or reports as assigned.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS
