What are the responsibilities and job description for the Maintenance Mechanic (Aerospace/Manufacturing) position at 22nd Century Technologies Inc. (TSCTI)?
Shift: Schedule: 2:30 pm - 11 pm (Mon-Fri)
Roles & Responsibilities:
- The Maintenance Mechanic is responsible for the installation, repair, and ongoing maintenance of production and manufacturing equipment to ensure optimal performance and minimal downtime. This role involves troubleshooting mechanical issues, performing preventive maintenance, and collaborating with production teams to support continuous operation. The Maintenance Mechanic will work hands-on with a variety of machinery.
Functions and Responsibilities:
- Install, repair and maintain production manufacturing equipment.
- Inspect equipment for proper functioning and performs preventative maintenance duties, per manufacturer's specifications.
- Diagnose basic equipment malfunctions and makes repairs or adjustments efficiently.
- Follow written instructions, sketches and documents.
- Use hand and power tools as required.
- Perform all work in accordance with established standards and safety procedures.
- Work under direct oversight.
- And any other duties assigned to help drive to our vision, fulfill our commitments, and carry out our organization’s virtues.
Qualifications
- 2-4 years of mechanic experience
- Must have forklift certification and be proficient with moving large equipment.
- Complete a formal training or apprenticeship program in a related field such as mechanical, facilities (carpentry, plumbing and HVAC), electrical, electronic, pneumatic, or hydraulic systems or have equivalent experience.
- Requires general knowledge of codes and regulations related to equipment and facilities.
- Knowledge of shop math and precision measuring equipment
- Vacuum Furnace, CNC, PLC (Program Logic Computer), X-Ray experience preferred.
