What are the responsibilities and job description for the Assembler position at 22nd Century Technologies Inc. (TSCTI)?
Duration: 6 Months (Temp to hire)
Position Summary:
- The Assembler 3 position performs disassembly, assembly, re-work and minimum testing of various electrical/electronic equipment
Responsibilities:
- Use electric solder equipment to IPC-A-610B standard
- Cut, prepare and pre-tin wires, prepare batteries, apply conformal coat, marking and adhesive bonding
- Complete work according to instructions, specifications and procedures, under direct and/or limited supervision
- Perform a variety of complex mechanical and/or electromechanical assembly operations in accordance with company instructions and procedures
Physical Requirements:
- Use head and neck in static position, looking up/down and side-to-side
- Use hand tools, power tools and electric soldering gun
- Perform major hand grasping and fine finger manipulations using both hands
- Minimal: heavy lifting from floor or higher, bending, twisting, climbing, lifting arms above shoulders, kneeling
Qualifications:
- Good mechanical aptitude
- Able to operate a variety of hand tools, power tools, electric soldering gun and light machinery; Proficient in using the tools, equipment, and inspection aids applicable to the scope of work assigned
Education & Experience:
- Education: High School Diploma or equivalent
- Years of Experience: Minimum 5 years of prior related work experience in an electrical/avionics manufacturing/testing environment or completed OJT training for at least 10 products
