Job Type: Contract (6 Months, Temp-to-Perm Possible)
Shift: 1st Shift (7:00 AM – 3:30 PM, Monday–Friday)

Job Summary:

The Quality Inspector is responsible for inspecting raw materials, work-in-progress, and finished products to ensure compliance with engineering drawings, customer specifications, and quality standards. This role performs inspections and testing throughout the manufacturing process, maintains quality documentation, and supports continuous improvement initiatives while ensuring adherence to company and industry standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and specifications.
  • Inspect raw materials, finished products, and tooling.
  • Perform dimensional inspections using precision measuring tools.
  • Conduct receiving, in-process, and final inspections.
  • Verify compliance with ISO 9000 and customer quality standards.
  • Review product and process non-conformances.
  • Recommend corrective actions and process improvements.
  • Maintain inspection logs and quality documentation.
  • Process rework tags and nonconforming material reports.
  • Operate gauges, calipers, test rigs, and inspection equipment.
  • Monitor quality trends and report findings to management.
  • Provide technical support and knowledge sharing to operations teams.
  • Communicate quality issues across departments.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by management.

Required Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Manufacturing or quality inspection experience preferred.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and blueprints.
  • Experience using precision measuring instruments.
  • Knowledge of ISO 9000 quality standards.
  • Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing principles.
  • Proficiency with manufacturing software and Microsoft Office.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
