Duties
- Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support
- Monitor residents’ health by taking vital signs, observing patient conditions, and reporting changes promptly to healthcare teams
- Administer medications following HIPAA guidelines and care plans while maintaining accurate documentation
- Prepare nutritious meals and assist with meal planning to meet individual dietary needs and preferences
- Support residents during activities, outings, and community events to promote social interaction and engagement
- Maintain a clean and safe environment by performing light housekeeping duties such as cleaning resident areas and ensuring sanitation standards are met
- Follow all safety protocols including CPR and First Aid procedures to respond effectively during emergencies
Experience
- Prior experience working in group homes, assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or home & community care settings is highly preferred
- Demonstrated knowledge of patient observation, medication administration, and vital signs monitoring
- Experience with caregiving is advantageous
- Familiarity with working with individuals with developmental disabilities or autism enhances your ability to provide tailored support
- Strong understanding of HIPAA regulations ensures confidentiality and respectful care practices
- Physical ability to perform heavy lifting and assist residents with mobility needs safely
- Background in social work or long-term care environments supports comprehensive resident-centered care
