Broadridge is seeking a Manager (Director), Software Engineering to join the Global Technology Organization at Broadridge to lead our Digital Archive engineering teams across North America and India. These teams design, support, and extend Broadridge’s Digital Archive platforms, enabling clients to store and retrieve digital documents efficiently and securely. As the Engineering Manager, you will oversee day-to-day operations, ensure platform stability, lead project execution, and guide continuous improvement through Agile practices. This is a hands-on leadership role requiring strong organizational skills, technical knowledge in Perl, Python, and Linux, and the ability to manage distributed teams and client-driven initiatives. Key Responsibilities Manage geographically distributed teams supporting the Digital Archive platform. Oversee the delivery of client projects, ensuring commitments are met on schedule, within scope, and budget. Coordinate project activities across development, infrastructure, operations, and client-facing teams. Track and report Agile metrics and project performance to leadership and stakeholders. Build and maintain cross-functional relationships with other technology and business teams. Technical and Operational Oversight Ensure the stability, performance, and scalability of production environments. Supervise the development and maintenance of Perl and Python scripts that extend and automate functionality (e.g., file ingestion, document output, system integration). Support incident response and root cause analysis for production issues, driving problem resolution and system resiliency improvements. Maintain strong awareness of IBM Content Manager OnDemand (CMOD) capabilities and apply that knowledge to optimize platform usage and development practices. Required Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field 8 years of experience in software development or application system environments 5 years of experience leading software engineering or technical support teams Hands-on experience with IBM Content Manager OnDemand or similar enterprise document management systems Proficiency with Perl and Python scripting in a Linux environment Demonstrated experience managing technical projects with distributed teams Strong understanding of Agile methodologies and metrics (e.g., velocity, sprint deliverables, throughput) Excellent organizational, communication, and collaboration skills, including cross-team and client-facing interactions Preferred Qualifications Experience in financial services or large enterprise environments Familiarity with Java, DB2, or similar relational database technologies Experience implementing automation, API integrations, or cloud migration initiatives Proven success improving platform reliability and operational efficiency Compensation Range: The salary range for this position is between $155,000 - $165,000. Broadridge considers various factors when evaluating a candidate's final salary including, but not limited to, relevant experience, skills, and education.
