Cherry Picker Operator

Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated Cherry Picker Operator to join our dynamic warehouse team. In this role, you will be responsible for safely operating cherry pickers and other material handling equipment to efficiently pick, pack, and organize products within a fast-paced distribution environment. Your expertise will ensure accurate order fulfillment, optimal inventory management, and adherence to safety standards. The ideal candidate is proactive, detail-oriented, and committed to maintaining a safe and productive warehouse operation.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate cherry pickers, reach trucks, forklifts, and other material handling equipment in accordance with safety protocols and operational guidelines
• Select and retrieve products from high shelving or designated storage areas with precision
• Load and unload shipments efficiently using appropriate equipment such as pallet jacks, clamp trucks, or Hi-Lo forklifts
• Maintain accurate inventory records through barcode scanning and warehouse management systems
• Assist with shipping and receiving tasks, ensuring timely dispatch of orders
• Conduct routine equipment inspections and perform basic repairs or report maintenance needs promptly
• Follow manual handling procedures to ensure safe lifting and movement of heavy or bulky items
• Support warehouse management in organizing stock levels and optimizing storage space
• Adhere to OSHA standards and warehouse safety protocols at all times
• Collaborate with team members to meet daily productivity goals while maintaining a safe work environment

Requirements:

• Proven experience operating cherry pickers, reach trucks, forklifts, or similar heavy equipment in a warehouse setting
• Knowledge of warehouse management systems (WMS), barcode scanning technology, and inventory control procedures
• Familiarity with shipping & receiving processes and materials handling techniques
• Understanding of OSHA safety standards related to forklift operation and manual handling
• Ability to perform basic math calculations for inventory counts and order accuracy
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Physical ability to lift heavy loads regularly and perform manual handling tasks safely
• Prior experience in warehouse distribution or logistics is highly desirable
• Valid certification for forklift or lift truck operation is preferred

Pay: $19.00 - $22.00 per hour
