POSITION PURPOSE AND SUMMARY: Under the supervision of the Unit Manager/Charge Nurse, performs general clerical duties and patient centered activities in a hospital nursing unit. She/he demonstrates the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patient population served on a designated nursing unit. # EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE: High School graduate or equivalent. BLS Required Supplementary commercial school/college courses in typing, computer technology, medical terminology are desirable. 6 months experience as Ward, Clerk, Medical Assistant or Physician Receptionist preferred. Annual validation of skills and safety, infection procedures.
