217, INC. is looking for a skilled dispatcher. As a locally owned and operated, service-based HVAC, plumbing, sewer, underground and construction company. We are committed to setting a new standard of customer loyalty and providing expert service to the Champaign-Urbana community. We service all major brands and work with homeowners, property management firms, contractors, and businesses of all sizes. We are currently seeking a skilled and knowledgeable dispatcher/administrative assistant to join our 217 team.
Job Duties
- Prepare daily work and run schedules.
- Answer incoming telephone calls, determines purpose of callers, be able to accurately record information given from caller and add to service schedule.
- Greet any visitors/guests/members professionally, determining the nature and purpose of visit.
- Take and resolve complaints, issues, or concerns from customers and the public in a positive and professional manner.
- Perform basic clerical duties, such as data entry, filing, photocopying, scanning, etc.
- Assist with Administrative tasks as needed.
- Entering data into the central database
- Cataloguing the data with appropriate tags for ease of reference
- Transferring physical records into a digital filing system
- Retrieving data as requested
- Maintaining and updating the database system as necessary
- Generating periodic reports as needed
- Indexing and filing invoices
- Accurately enter data into corresponding fields within various software programs
- Identify and correct data entry errors using appropriate quality control methods
- Perform related tasks like ordering office supplies and filing documents
- Manage and organize records and files
Qualifications and Skills Requirements:
Education: High School Diploma/G.E.D and Associates Degree in Business (or related field) Experience: 1-2 years of related office experience.
- Multi-tasking capability without compromising on quality or accuracy.
- Ability to enter data into a computer quickly and accurately.
- Ability to build positive relationships with high level of interpersonal skills.
- Excellent talent to interact with people in a positive and courteous manner.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to prioritize tasks according to importance in a fast-paced environment.
- Problem solving skills to be able to think quickly on your feet and prioritize the most important situations.
- Must be proficient in handling office equipment including multiple lined telephones, printers, photocopy machines, etc.
- Dependable and punctual.
- Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office Applications, specifically MS Word and Excel
- Ability to type at 50 WPM
Pay: $19.50 - $25.50 per hour
