21-Year-Old Autistic Non Speaking Female

Thanks to an amazing team of 3 support staff, Autistic, nonspeaking AAC (touch chat) communicator has been living in her own apartment in Santa Cruz for over a year. Our team of 3 has had no turnover, 100 percent retention, which says a lot about them and their passion for the job.

What we're looking for in our support staff:

- Adaptable

- Compassionate and understanding

- Observant (Being that she is nonspeaking, getting to know her interests, wants and needs will take time)

- Communicative with guardian and support staff (We fill the team in on changes, observations, complications and successes)

Day shift: Pick up/Drop off in Live Oak area 2:30 p.m. - 9:30 p.m.
Night shift: 9:30 p.m. - 8:30 a.m. drop off in Live Oak Area
# of days & shifts flexible and decided upon by the team

Daytime Shift Tasks:

- Includes activity (Ex. bowling, park visits, etc.) You can get creative with this!

- Food preparation

- Showering/hygiene routine

- Relaxing in TV room

- Prepare her for bedtime around 9:30

Overnight Shift Tasks:

- Sleeps on pullout couch

- Wakes to support as needed (rare)

- In morning, pack breakfast, prep day bag

- Hygiene routine (wake/dress/brush teeth)

- Transport to drop off.

Daytime wage $30/hour
Nighttime wage $20/hour
