Duties
- Perform thorough cleaning and disinfecting of restrooms, and common areas using appropriate cleaning agents and equipment.
- Operate cleaning machinery such as floor buffers, scrubbers, and vacuums to maintain high standards of floor care across all areas.
- Safely manage chemical agents used in cleaning and sanitation processes
- Assist with the proper handling and disposal of waste materials to uphold sanitation standards and prevent contamination.
- Use manual handling techniques for heavy lifting tasks while adhering to safe lifting practices to prevent injury.
- Maintain detailed records of cleaning activities and report any maintenance or safety issues promptly.
Requirements
- Prior experience in building facilities housekeeping or environmental services is preferred but not mandatory;
- Ability to perform manual handling tasks including heavy lifting with proper technique for safety.
- Strong understanding of sanitation standards specific to building janitorial services
- Excellent customer service skills with a professional attitude when interacting with staff, patients, and visitors.
- Familiarity with cleaning equipment operation and maintenance is advantageous.
- Ability to follow detailed instructions accurately while maintaining efficiency in a fast-paced setting.
